inspired by "Simmer Down" by Zenmonkey

This odd beast I discovered deep within the densest forest. It appears quite poisonous; it hunts by camouflaging itself amongst the foliage and ambushing prey with a venomous bite. Then it can follow the disoriented prey at its leisure until the meal finally succumbs to unconsciousness. Part of its camo is its shaggy green fur and its faux-bark skin plates. Crouched behind some leaves it's rather convincing. It spends part of its time up in trees, I assume to stay safe from predators. It moves in a rolling gait, which is faster than a human could run but not fast enough to escape many of the predators that prowl through these woods. Its long claws allow it to dig for additional food such as grubs, roots, and insects, and aids in its tree climbing as well. Their massive bushy tails help keep their large bodies balanced during their time off the ground.
